Ive had one eye on this chap since about 2005 when he was putting out maaad "jungle break core booty house" (his description) along side the MASHIT.COM website. Certainly a character, self proclaimed rave encyclopedia the guy knows his way round a pair of 1210's better than most. If you haven't heard him play out do so cause he's just one of those that makes you go "What the fucks this" (in a good way). This 160 bpm rudie's out on planet Mu..Nuts! Think it's down to the spat of sunshine we've been blessed with lately that's lead me to this garage selection. Put your Reebok work-outs on and have a little shuffle to these. Enjoy.
I've got sweet fa on this lad but this is certainly a big tune. He's at the tender age of 18 very impressed, guess we better watch this space. hit up his page and give the lad some feed back.
Falty DL has been hurting it for the past 2 years...In my eyes his break through tune "to london" is a stone cold classic, this remix for garage hero Zed Bias is out of the same hard to reach draw. If you can get your hands on the remix pack released on tru thoughts theres a rude MJ Cole refix as well. Eyes peeled.
He might look like a bit of a dope but the guys got mad talent. Co-founder of the mighty Hessle Audio, his top-notch DJ sets, usually combining the freshest funky, garage, and 2-step sounds with a choice selection of classic dubstep, house, and techno, have been blowing minds for a while now and he's showing no signs of slowing down.
Wheel it up vol4 by sivarider_duttydubrockz A mucky mix from Japanese producer Sivarider (featured in 5 for japan) love the jungle dub sound this chaps making.
In light of the truly devastating effects of last Fridays earthquake in japan I've decided to draw for five tunes built by Japanese producers. On behalf of everyone who posts on this blog I want to put forward are support and sincere condolences to anyone who has been effected. If any one can spare anything there is a link to the Red Cross site were you can make a safe donation here.
Mirage(clip) by GOTH-TRAD Seems only right to kick off proceedings with A Goth Trad selection. The undeniable driving force behing the ever growing Japanese dubstep scene, GT is never short of a fresh tune. This tunes now over a year old still sounding crucial.
ENA - Sign[clip] forthcoming 7even Recordings [January 2011] by ena Ena, a resident at Tokyo's Back To Chill event run by Goth Trad. Dear lord his music is heavy! UK reggae star and dancehall pioneer Smiley Culture and hip-hops number one vocalist Nate Dogg both died yesterday in separate incidents.
Smiley's yard in Surrey was raided on a cocaine related charge by the Met Police yesterday morning and it is claimed he stabbed himself before the police could restrain him. His mental condition was said to be unstable.
West-coast rapper Nate Dogg, most famed for his catchy hooks on tracks such as 'Oh No' with Pharoahe Monch and 'Regualte' with Warren G also passed away in the early hours of yesterday morning with the cause of death currently unknown.
I've been sessioning Benji B hard recently. The lads been killing it with guest appearances, his latest sonic offering featuring Sampha and Sbtrkt is no exception (Here ). I Cant wait to see Sampha at Redux Vs Get low April 1st. The boys got mad soul!

Bloc festival are celebrating their 5th Birthday this year so it was only fair to dedicate this weeks 5 for friday to getting merked in a Butlins Bingo hall for 5 years straight. Hears a little taster of what you can expect to hear at what will no doubt be the biggest birthday party of the year.
Heavy Photek showcase on Benji-B's last Radio1 outing, definitely worth a listen.
Im still in two minds about his new material but fuck me the old stuff still sounds stunning. Here
If you missed the Carl Craig show from last week you need to cop that as well.

There's a load of these Wiley vid's circulating at the moment, all of them equally bizzare but this one takes the biscuit. Artists: don't bang of loads of nose bag when your home alone with nothing to do. Thanks Will for your endless entertainment. I swear someone should give him and Charlie Sheen there own talk show.
I Just got my crusty crab claws on a promo copy of Instra:mentals forthcoming LP Resolution 653. I'm happy to report it’s a damn weighty excursion, conflating early 90s house, Juke and dubstep. What would’ve been quite an ambitious release a few years ago feels incredibly palatable in the vaster post-dubstep incubator we live in today. Banging out a salvo of drums that come through hot and sharp, audio receptors are left pondering the dusty dystopian scapes that only old vets can conjure. There’s a family of interstellar beep-bleeps here that weave through the album, keeping producers like Juan Atkins misty in the back of your mind. Favourite titles include Sun Rec, Plok and Thomp. Most of these have been grabbing daylight through squinted eyes in Boddika’s recent sets. The gods of electronic music should be more than chuffed with this offering, an album that, while not ground-breaking, certainly rolls as deep as Davina McCall’s crevice (thats deep!).
